Since the Unconstitutional signing of the National Security Act of 1947, America has not won a single war. The 1947 Act dismantled the War Department and established a 24/7 DC Centralized Dept of Defense (DoD) that was the original sin of a massive power grab by corrupt and dishonorable DC bureaucrats to create every scheme imaginable to fleece the US Taxpayers, fund programs that increase their bureaucracy/power, and ensure the continued election of deep state DC D-bags by laundering the money back to PACs, shady Election Programs, and corrupt charities/front companies.

The DoD must be restructured back into Army, Navy, and Militia to de-centralize the power and money back to the States as the US Constitution intended. Any other structure of the DoD will lead to the politicization of the US Military as we have seen over the last few decades with disgraceful flag officers and DC intel community senior leadership shilling for the political party or politician that will enable their taxpayer fleecing forever wars.

Anyone with a basic understanding of military power will clearly see the US military intentionally restricted itself from seizing territory or killing the enemy in Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan. This was by design to drag out these conflicts as long as possible to fortify less than transparent military contracts with massively inflated tax funds, pilfer as much of the money/product as possible (no audit on a “combat” loss), and then launder a portion of that stolen money back to DC cronies, staffers, and their families’ shell companies/charities.

The rot and anti-meritocracy seen in today’s military senior leaders is directly tied to their physical location near the politicians in DC and working under the chain of command of the President when they should be mostly under command of the Governors until an Army needs to be raised for a declared war. Congress was given the power by the US Constitution to raise and support an Army, but to Maintain a Navy. This is because a standing Army is a threat to a free society due to their location among the cities and towns, but a Navy is either in port or out on the seas keeping trade flowing and does not threaten free citizens with their continuous active duty status.

Almost all combat power and combat support outside of the Navy’s keeping the sea lanes open, killing pirates, and Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBMs) needs to be aggressively moved to the State militias. The Nuclear Triad should be reduced to SLBMs and nuke bombers and all bombers should be located outside of the US so other countries nukes will not be targeted on Counter-Force targets such as ICBM launch facilities near US citizens. These nuke bombers and their weapons should be dispersed to Midway, Wake Island, Johnson Atoll, Aleutian Islands, Diego Garcia, Okinawa, and Greenland to eliminate having any nukes in the CONUS or Hawaii.

All Unified Commands should be based on geography and most likely theaters of warfare only. All domain based (Space and Cyber) and combat support (Trans, Strat, and SpecOps) commands should be eliminated. All forces will be organized under either the Army, Navy, or the Militia per the US Constitution. We will still have an Air Force, Space Force, Cyber Force and a Special Warfare Force, but they will all be equipped, funded, and trained to be chopped to a Unified Commander for declared wars.

The over 800,000 DoD CIVILIAN employees need to be eliminated to less than 200,000 and mostly moved to State Militia control. These should only be for military jobs that do not need to be done by uniformed military, but require some continuity (finance, contracting, IG, Safety, admin assistants). Anything that is not combat or direct combat support and is not going to be done in combat should be outsourced to a competitive military contractor bid overseen by this far smaller DoD civilian workforce.

This Constitutional military structure will have a 4 Star US Army Chief of Staff, 4 Star Chief of Naval Ops, and a 4 Star Militia General. The only other 4 Star officers will be each of the Geography Based Unified Commanders who will be the direct Commander of all combat and combat support forces in theater for a declared war. (NorthCom, SouthCom, PaCom, CentCom, Africom, and EuCom should still work). All other Flag Officers will be reduced to 3 Stars in charge of each capability/domain force such as Air, Space, Cyber, Spec Ops, Surface, Sub-Surface, Marines, Elctro-Magnetic Spectrum, and Nuclear Forces. Every State Militia will still be commanded by the Governor with a 2-Star Militia General. All capability/domain bases will be commanded by 1-Star General officers that are mostly distributed all over the 50 states and territories ensuring most military power/leadership is outside of the destructive influence of DC.

How would this make us less safe or less effective as a military? What am I missing? Thanks for any feedback you can provide.
