But when I did read Peter and Wendy, I realized Peter really was... quite an ass.

Jordan Peterson had some good words to say about the Peter Pan story. The boys raising the boys so they never grow up. And why would they, because the only adult men in the story were pirates. So you either stayed a boy or became a pirate.

Peter and the Lost Boys were desperate for a male role model.
