Writing realistic fantasy is dangerous.

One minute you're writing a sword fight. Three hours later, you have 15 tabs open about "14th-century blacksmithing techniques" and "how long does it take a horse to walk 30 miles in mud?"

I do all this math so my characters can suffer accurately.
