Jean-Paul Goude is a French photographer, graphic designer, and image-maker who rose to prominence in the 1970s as art director at Esquire magazine in New York, where he developed a signature style built on exaggeration, manipulation, and a surrealist approach to the human body.
He is best known for his long collaboration with Grace Jones, whose iconic album covers, stage shows, and music videos he conceived and directed, effectively constructing her visual identity from the ground up.
