This is an organizing victory. Plain and simple. Systems don’t move, even in small ways, without pressure. Like all organizing victories it’s only one step, but it wouldn’t have happened without the work of hundreds of writers (and especially the organizers, like , who put disproportional time and leadership into getting to this point). As I just shared on the Flyover Politics discord that I share with , this shows the power and potential in both Substack authors and readers thinking of ourselves in relation to one another and not just as individual consumers.
