Check out this excellent interview with MellowKat and Hjrove (of Geopolitics & Empire). Kat shares some valuable insights, passionately inviting us all to get out of our little internet bubbles, get our hands in the dirt, engage with our local community and plant the seeds for a resilient resistance culture.

I also really appreciate how Kat called out the cop out excuse some statists, QAnon people and bible thumpers use to be passive, complacent and sit around hoping someone else is going to save them and make everything better. There are people that basically worship politicians as saviors or they say "the second coming is gonna happen anyways so why bother trying to make this world better?" and they say that is why they do not do anything to improve their community, take responsibility for feeding themselves regeneratively or speak up.

I come across that a fair bit with lazy people trying to use that Stockholm syndrome relationship with government/politicians or religion as an excuse to “sit back and enjoy the popcorn” so I appreciate Kat highlighting this in the interview.

Also, While I do not resonate with blindly following religious dogmas or looking for savior figures I am a spiritual person.

My own path to understand spirituality was something I embarked on outside of religious dogmas and without Guru types, and basically, is what Kat described, "finding God in the garden" (or sometimes in the wilderness for me).

I am grateful that Kat is also encouraging people to take steps to grow some of their own food (whether its at home or via a community garden). That is so important, as it opens up not just food sovereignty but also builds ecological literacy, pattern recognition and deepens one's ability to connect with our non-human kin on Earth (which I is feel is so important as we strive to plant the seeds for cultures that resist tyranny and create a viable alternative, as seeing our non human kin as teachers is one of the main things that offered our ancestors spiritual guidance in how to create resilient place based communities).
