Re the decline in drug overdose deaths in 2022, from my perspective, pastor working with the street and other afflicted populations for many years in NYC...I would not read too much into a data from one year. If this continues for several years, it will be a blessed trend. To the ER doctor's query...word had gotten around about the lethal Fentanyl and fake Fentanyl and tranq on the streets. Scares users, they go back to heroin which is relatively cheaper and more reliable and easily available.
Could simply be free narcan everywhere reversing overdoses.
