The app for independent voices

Content across channels and how it differs.

Little research assignment. I posted the same question in 3 different places in the past week.

  • Threads:

  • My Facebook Profile

  • Substack Notes

There's so much to learn from this. Here's my summation

Number One: Ask questions, be curious, start conversations; it works absolutely anywhere if you genuinely want to talk to people.

Number Two: It's impossible to guess what content will do well and where. You will only learn how to master social and get clients through constantly experimenting (or learning off someone who does )

Number Three: Threads is no punk. My Threads account was literally dead two weeks ago (222 followers), I was just autoposting accidentally from Instagram and getting zero engagement.

Threads is really a conversation-heavy channel (Like X), and over the past three weeks, I've added 200 plus followers, and I've been consistently getting a large number of comments, the best is 5000 on a single post.

This illustrates the importance of engaging content to expand your reach outside of your circle.

Number Four: Substack Notes is absolutely lethal for collecting email addresses and growing your brand there. I think I've added 60-plus leads for free there in the past 30 days. It's tricky to use, and you have to know how, though.

Number Five: All the channels still work if you post engaging content and start conversations; you just cannot lose.

Ask me anything you like.
