I have found myself busier lately, occupied with more than just painting, finding flow state of a different kind; present, simultaneously focused and unthinking for long moments. Painting has previously been everything all the time, and being somewhere away from the studio has meant the days that I am there are potent. Balance has led to a new kind of productivity. Rest has opened a new door.
