The Abbey of St. Scoot in the ruins of Washington, DC sends a monk to deliver something important to the Pope in New Rome (located in South Carolina).

Book 2: Spoken Gibberish

A scientist visits the Abbey to study the computers saved up by the monks of St. Scoot. But recovering the information inside proves to be a challenge, and it’s all gibberish to him.

Book 3: Sandbox Earth

The decadent human world government is picking a fight with super-advanced aliens to distract the populace from troubles at home. Story ends with Earth destroyed by aliens, but the monks of St. Scoot escaped on a generation starship just as the invasion commences.
