Thanks, John, that is a brilliant detailed reminder of the deep long-term nature of Canada's relations with China and the damage done to those relations when we are subservient to the United States. I suspect Trump's recent - last few days - outburst of anger with Canada is due to Carney making a splash at Davos while Trump merely displayed his rambling bullying vacuity. Aside from the larger geopolitical and deep structural and strategic issues, Trump and his flunkies are vicious in their vindictiveness.
