At one point, Trump claimed that he wanted to liberate the Iranian people; now it seems he wants to murder them. In US politics, over the past year, the unbelievable has rapidly become believable. If the US commits mass murder because of the strategic incompetence of the present administration - the court of clowns - and the ego of one man, then what little is left of US credibility - with allies and enemies - will have gone up in ash and smoke.
