Christ has prepared a small splinter of His cross to share with me.
It’s so small that it’s a bit laughable.
Indeed, if it’s not sacrilegious to say, one might be tempted to call my little portion of the Cross “cute”.
I’m reminded of when a small child wants to imitate their parents, and so the parents buy them a child version of some too…
One day I will read Gen. 38 without remembering that Dorothy Parker named her parakeet Onan because he spilled his seed upon the ground, but that day is not today.
It’s not every day that a current events and politics podcast says, “Hey, we should talk to a pricer!” but when tariffs are in the news, that can happen.

What women want is for people to stop telling them what to do.
People, yes (looking at you, ghost of my mother), but most especially men. Bless their hearts.
My social media has been full this last week especially of older women retelling how unfamiliar men have come out of the woodwork trying to bully them over every little thing. Criticizing the contents of their shopping baskets, their weight, their hair styles, their clothing, and of course their political opinions. Wherever did they get the idea this was appropriate behavior?
Tomorrow I am going to wear my “I’m the liberal pro-choice outspoken obstinate headstrong woman you were warned about” T-shirt. I’m thinking of wearing these T-shirts on rotation until election day. Who needs other clothing? Did I tell you all that I live in a deep red county in Upstate NY?
