How to build an interactive Fashion Resume to impress recruiters.
The biggest shift in fashion hiring right now? Recruiters don’t just read resumes anymore, they expect to see your work. They want proof.
But most people still just
Add one generic portfolio link in their “About” section
Don’t include any links at all
Or expect recruiters to open a separate portfolio and figure things out themselves
But there is a better way to make your resume stronger that I’m teaching to my students: bring your work directly into your CV.
Make it interactive.
Embed links inside your bullet points so every experience becomes clickable, and immediately shows the exact project, strategy, or task you worked on.
Because the easier you make it for recruiters to see your work,
the easier it is for them to say yes.
Link to:
portfolio projects
presentation slides
PDFs of your work
campaign concepts
editorial projects
Let me show you an example with a course:
The Fashion Internships Simulator Course | Glam Observer
• Developed a retail activation concept for Saint Laurent Rive Droite, including customer journey, in-store experience, and product storytelling for a limited-edition bag launch (view project🔗)
• Built a full PR & Marketing strategy for the Miu Miu x New Balance collaboration, including press release, influencer seeding plan, media outreach, and campaign rollout timeline (view project🔗)
•Executed a styling project from concept to execution: debriefed the “Future Renaissance” theme assigned by the client, selected brands aligned with the creative direction, curated looks, managed sample tracking in Excel, and drafted PR outreach emails for sample requests (view project🔗)
•Produced a fashion editorial project simulating a real Vogue magazine issue: defined the concept, selected the creative team, directed cover and editorial visuals, wrote the cover story, and developed advertising & brand partnership proposals (view project🔗)
When a recruiter clicks that view project🔗 link and immediately sees the work you created, your application becomes much more powerful.
You are no longer just telling them you have skills.
You are showing them.
And in today’s hiring landscape and AI generated resumes, proof always wins over claims.
