I understand. Just take one step at a time. Maybe start with a VPN, because that is a one time set up and then you are done. Also, do the basics, use DuckDuckGo instead of Google, put tape over your camera, make sure your computer is updated regularly, uninstall unnecessary and unused apps, ect.
