Like a time-travelling alien, Sci-Friday is arriving with very little warning! It’s just one day away.

Last week, I wrote about the self-fulfilling prophecy that is Moore’s Law:

This week, let’s geek out with sci-fi stories, recommendations, the science behind the fiction - you name it, we like it as long as it’s sci-fi or sci-fi adjacent! The only requirement is that we talk about sci-fi.

If you’re wondering how you can contribute and participate, here’s the stuff you can expect to see:

  • Recommendations from folks about what to watch, read, or listen to

  • Just a Note (that lists some recommendations, or an observation)

  • Sci-fi short stories

  • Analysis of the science behind sci-fi and what could be possible

TL;DR: a bunch of folks make recommendations about what sort of sci-fi TV shows, films, books, games, food, or neural implants to try out. Some of us will tag each other here on Notes, and some of us will write a full piece for our Substack audience. Some folks write a little short science fiction, too.

Even a little Note recommending what to watch makes my day a little better, but many of us try to make a game of making a unique post for the celebration.

Folks who have contributed (or are planning to this week) are tagged here. Please note: there is no other way to connect other than this monster tag list, so if you’re participating and want to connect with these folks, you need to tag ‘em.

If you’re out for this week, no big deal at all- but if you want in and I didn’t tag you here, let me know. And, as always, please follow or subscribe to the folks who are writing about sci-fi if you’re interested in seeing what they are going to contribute! There’s a lot to keep up with otherwise, and I don’t want anyone’s work to fall through the cracks here.
