Why? God isn’t going to supernaturally intervene because you rallied people on social media to think happy thoughts in their head.

God doesn’t work this way. God is not a democracy. It doesn’t matter if a dozen people or a hundred people or 100 million “pray for” something.

God is not a gum ball machine and prayer is not a magick spell.

I was so sick for year and people just wrote “I’ll pray for you” on social media and then did nothing real to actually help me. This mentality is harmful and it reminds people that most Christians are total phonies.

You aren’t helping someone by saying you will pray for them. That’s like the Good Samaritan seeing the man lying on the side of the road and saying “I will pray to God someone helps you” and then just walking along doing nothing.
