A smith-god killed a sea-god, and Welsh myth refuses to say why.

Gofannon, the divine smith of the Children of Dôn, strikes down Dylan ail Don, the boy who took to the sea like a fish. No motive survives. No confrontation. Just the blow, and the tide at the River Conwy still roaring as Dylan’s death-groan.

Some myths leave ruins. This one leaves a sound.
