Gentle

How are we to be gentle at this time. To be harsh and cruel is in fashion, gaining in popularity wrapped in the clothing of religious piety.

We go through our days with work, interacting with people we thought were kind. We were wrong. They are not gentle. They are fearful, hate filled and harsh. They smile, but it is never real.

I have been told that I am not a Christian because I show love and acceptance to everyone, because I am gentle. I find being gentle to be my armor against the chaos.

I must remain gentle against the fear. I must remain gentle against the hatred. I must remain….
