Inequality has increased because innovators are creating valuable tools and services for us to use and making a lot of money at it. To envy other people’s success and wealth is small-minded.
It’s poverty that is bad, not inequality.
Focus on improving the lives of the bottom 50% rather than harming the top 3%.
It’s not a zero-sum game where you can just take money from some and give it to others. Attempts to do so have never lowered poverty for more than a brief period.
Increasing the number of stable 2-parent families will help reduce poverty more than punitive taxation. Teaching poor kids how to break out of the poverty cycle will do far more to reduce poverty long term than telling poor kids that the system is stacked against them.
Money doesn’t end poverty. Education can.
