Charlene of Monaco is increasingly a champion of animals. Yesterday, in Caussols, in the Maritime Alps, she released a red-tailed hawk.
A rare bird of prey, recounts the Monegasque Palace, which had a severe wing fracture and had been electrocuted. It would have been destined for euthanasia, but "it was saved thanks to the extraordinary work of the Wildlife Care Center of the Instinct Animal – SOS Wildlife Association, directed by Lucie Contet and Laura Bailo".
And after a full eight months of care, it was released and was able to join a flock for migration to Africa.
"In her speech, the Princess also praised the indispensable work carried out daily by all operators and volunteers who care for animals" the Palace further writes on social media.
Charlene then visited the Instinct Animals - SOS Wildlife rescue center in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne. Here, wild animals in difficulty are treated; it is the only center in the French Maritime Alps and also hosts animals from other nearby French departments.
Charlene is finding the projects that identify her as a princess: education on the values of coexistence and respect through sport, animal care, and their rights.
