i follow rupi. poetry that speaks to everyday people and girls who might not otherwise read “proper” poetry is more functionally poetic to me than work anointed by an mfa that doesnt move anybody. she’s also just a really cool woman to me, and she’s been outspoken about gaza (and written some beautiful poetry about it) for years. also she’s an immigrant from brampton :)
