my biggest worry when i clicked play on this interview was that Hunter Biden would cannonball into the emotional deep end without hesitation, while Candace would be stoically, dissociatively dipping just a toe in the shallows. i’ve seen Hunter, many times now, confront the behavior of his past bravely, honestly, and with extreme clarity. it’s not something i had seen Candace do until this conversation, when she apologizes and accounts for her behavior in response to his.
