It’s April Fools Day and a chance to celebrate. Writing about daffodils brings up some uncomfortable comparisons - and yes Wordsworth did it better!

The grey, the gold, plot, observe.

But fools come garbed in yellow,

Naïve, brave, step and swerve

Cliff edges, gaping hollows.
