Setting up a camera like the 8×10 draws a lot of attention. For me, an introvert if I put it kindly, I knew this would be a thing I'd have to address at some point. I really dreaded the idea of having to answer questions from random people - it's an anxiety thing I guess.
Well, turns out I love it. Now I get excited to show people what I'm looking at through the ground glass, how it's upside down and unexpectedly amazing. I've really started to love these opportunities and hear people's reactions to seeing a setup like this for the first time. I absolutely love that just being out and doing what I do has the potential to get others excited about photography.
