When I joined Substack, it felt like entering a superhighway with hundreds of lanes.

At first, I merged into the lane called Inner Treasures—writing about living from the inside out.

Then I changed lanes and created The Love Stack, thinking I might interview people about love.

There was a lot of traffic in both places.

All the while, I was living, writing, and thinking about something else entirely:

How my experience as an early childhood educator was helping me navigate the wisdom years.

So, I switched lanes again.

This time, I found a road with much less traffic—and much better reception.

Turns out, children have a lot to teach us about growing older and returning to our authentic selves.

I think I've finally found my lane.

And the best part?

I can put the top down, turn up the radio, and enjoy the ride.
