I had the most delightful experience this weekend. I had a productive ride on my boy Ty and was just returning from letting him loose in turnout when one of the other dressage trainer’s clients stopped me in the barn aisle. We were chatting a bit and then she came around to asking me if I was “Gray Horse Diaries”. I was surprised and said yes I am. She let me know she’d been reading and really enjoying the blog for a long time, never knowing who was the author. She said she thought the background in some of the photos started to look familiar but I really never post a clear photo of myself so she didn’t know. Until one day one of the grooms was walking a gray horse by her and someone called out “Trudy!” to the horse. Then she knew it had to be someone at the barn. She was so kind and generous and it really warmed my heart to meet an actual reader in the wild. Thank you Diane! You made my day!
