The discourse around Noam Chomsky in regards to Epstein continues to rage on, at least in some circles. Many have pointed out, correctly, that Chomsky can’t speak for himself due to his debilitating 2023 stroke. Attributing to Chomsky the statement of his wife is wrong for many reasons (beginning with the fact that he didn’t write it).

But I recalled that I did speak to Chomsky by email in 2023 after the WSJ article on his ties to Epstein. Here he is in his own words (I’m not endorsing or rejecting it, just letting him speak for himself):
