Make money doing the work you believe in

The loneliest position in any organization is knowing something nobody wants to hear. You can say it once and be dismissed. You can say it twice and be labeled difficult. By the third time, you've learned the lesson the organization was actually teaching you: we want compliance, not foresight.

Being right quietly is a skill. Being right loudly is a career risk. Being right and then watching the building burn while the people who ignored you ask "how could this have happened" is the tax you pay for giving a damn.

Say it anyway. A man who swallows the truth to keep his seat at the table will find that the table was never his, and that the truth is still sitting in his throat, years later, undigested and heavy as a stone.
