Engineering Leadership LIVE event in San Francisco was truly a blast!
Last week, together with my friends from Augment Code, we hosted an event at Shack15.
We had a full house, with an amazing view of the Bay Bridge, full of insightful conversations about engineering/engineering leadership.
We had 4 talks, each focusing on sharing the insights from what's happening in our industry:
- I shared all about what it means to be an AI-native engineering leader and important trends + skills to focus on.
- Vinay Perneti shared why the key to 2–3x team productivity isn’t simply deploying more agents.
- Andrew Churchill shared the AI coding patterns from the top 1% of teams
- Anwar Haneef talked all about why your product’s next user might be an AI agent.
And the funny thing is that even if we didn't have any talks prepared, people would be more than happy just to chat and talk about what works and what doesn't + what’s happening in the industry.
There were so many insightful discussions before/after the talks that we could just talk the full night easily!
So, that tells me that people really crave real-life events and have a place to talk about what's happening, so we can figure things out together.
Need to do another one again soon!
