On January 3rd of this year, I made a quiet, feral commitment on my Patreon.
I decided that the Lunar Ledger would carry more than astrology. It would hold a living grimoire. One spell a day. No skipping. No waiting until life felt easier. Just a daily return to magic as infrastructure.
At the time, I did not call it a book. I called it survival.
Every entry in the Lunar Ledger became an offering. A spell woven directly into the astrological weather of the day. Not ornamental magic, not aesthetic ritual, but practical spellwork meant to be used inside real life.
Spells for chronic illness days when the body moves like wet cement. Spells for political grief and the low hum of authoritarian fear. Spells for parenting & protecting queer and trans kids in a country that keeps testing our courage. Spells for money, rest, personal protection, boundaries, clarity, and staying human under pressure.
Since January 3rd, the Lunar Ledger on my Patreon has held almost 365 spells.
That sentence still feels unreal to write.
I showed up day after day. Sometimes inspired, sometimes exhausted, sometimes writing through pain or fear or grief. Some spells arrived fully formed. Others had to be coaxed out of the dark with shaking hands and stubborn faith. But they all arrived. Because devotion is not about mood. It is about return.
Now we are standing at the edge of something I did not dare name at the beginning.
These nearly 365 Lunar Ledger spells are becoming a book. 365 Grimoire.
A full year of lived magic. A record of how to survive, soften, fortify, and resist inside collapsing systems. A book born not from distance or theory, but from daily practice inside real conditions.
This is not a grimoire that pretends the world is gentle. It is a grimoire for when the world is not. For people who need rituals that meet them where they actually are.
Watching this body of work take shape has been one of the most intimate acts of faith of my life. I wrote these spells while parenting, while sick, while scared, while trying to keep my family fed and safe enough to continue creating and resisting. Magic, for me, is not escapism. It is scaffolding.
If you have been reading the Lunar Ledger on Patreon, if you have cast these spells, shared them, saved them, or simply witnessed this process unfold, know this. You are part of the spell. This book exists because community exists.
We are almost at the threshold.
And soon, this year of daily devotion will live in your hands as 365 Grimoire, proof that even in chaos, we can build something enduring, useful, and alive.
