Aristotle’s point on anger is one that is often overlooked. Our inherited therapeutic culture treats most forms of anger as disfunction, but he corrects that with a better question to ask - and it’s if you’re angry at the right things in the right measure and at the right time. This doesn’t become a lower bar but instead a much higher one. The issue with anger is that most people fail not by feeling too much of it but by aiming it at entirely the wrong targets.
