Isaiah 6:1-3:

6 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;

    the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Lord, you are the high and exalted one. You are the only one worthy of constant and heartfelt praise and worship. You are holy, you are the Lord Almighty, and your glory is displayed throughout the earth.

Lord, that phrase “the whole earth is full of his glory” really struck me this morning. In the God is Light study, we saw that your glory is displayed as light. I’m trying to translate that to what we see on earth these days. Is your glory seen in the light you give us through the sun, moon, and stars but also fire and candles and electricity? Is your glory seen in nature? What about fireflies and luminescent creatures? Lord, help me to see your glory in ways that I might not otherwise think to look for you.
