My 8yo son got his very own boat from my dad — electric motor, anchor, all that! 🚤

Yesterday he went lure fishing with his little sisters and caught a small perch. We adults watched the whole time from the deck, ready to go rescue if something had happened.🎣

Today he proudly took us to Mother’s Day Island. I barely did a thing — he managed it all like a true captain. It was windy, not the easiest weather for a first voyage, but he handled it like a pro. 💨⚓

He made sure everyone’s life belts were properly fastened, and on the island, he even tied them to a tree so the wind wouldn’t carry them away. 🌳🛟
