For a long time, I thought growth meant constant progress, always moving up, always improving. But the truth is, growth is uneven.
Sometimes it feels like standing still, or even going backward. And yet, when I look back, I see that every hesitation, detour and pause shaped me in ways I couldn’t see then, showing me that growth is less about rushing forward and more about learning along the way.
For a long time I used to think growth meant constant progress, always moving forward, always becoming better.
But the truth is… it’s not that linear.
Growth is messy.
Sometimes it feels like standing still, like going in circles, or even like you’re moving backwards.
And there were moments I felt completely lost, like nothing was changing,
Like I wasn’t getting anywhere.
But now, when I look back,
I see that every hesitation, every detour, every pause… was quietly shaping me in ways I couldn’t understand at the time.
I’m starting to believe that growth isn’t about rushing forward, but about learning how to stay, how to feel, and how to keep going even when it hurts.
