Make money doing the work you believe in

It was a Tuesday and my wife and I were changing a baby's pajamas.

Francisco, a client of my program, insists that I call him. I tell him I don't answer calls from clients.

He insists. He says it's not about the program.

I call him from the store.

He proposes that I lead the scientific part of a children's supplement startup.

I hung up with a mix of feelings that I couldn't quite sort out.

→ Interest, yes.

→ Pride too. That someone wants to count on you at that level.

→ But also genuine skepticism.

→ And the fear of adding more to my plate and burying myself in work.

And a voice in the background with my wife's wise tone: "Alfredo, please, no more things."

But there's one question that, if you ask it correctly, changes everything:

Is there a real problem we can provide a solution for?

If you can't answer that before launching something, don't launch it.
