There's been a lot of healing happening in the past few months and healing from divorce is a lot of work. The process hurts and it wears you out. A week adventuring with my kids in Ireland was incredible and what I desperately needed to revive my soul and I am so grateful. I was feeling stuck and now I feel alive and refreshed and unconquerable. The former Haley could not have handled a trip solo with four kids to wrangle in another country. She would never have attempted it. Not to mention the crazy logistics of cancelled flights, unexpected drives to other cities, and delayed and rerouted flights on the way back! But I'm not that Haley anymore. I have done hard things and I can do hard things. The awful and hard things and the fun but hard things. And you can, too. Women are resilient! And I do believe that we can make beautiful things out of the ashes of our lives. (And it really helps if you can see just a few castles in Ireland when you're low on gumption. There is a strong castle to gumption correlation, I think.)
