I’ve long dreamed of going deeper to help local news flourish on Substack. There are now many success stories—from Jim Waterson to Michael MacLeod to The Dakota Scout—and the world needs to hear more about them.

I’d love to hire someone who will help spread the word about how the Substack model can help local news, bring more local news publishers into the ecosystem, and help a new generation of local news journalists emerge and flourish. We’d want this person to have good news sense, a deep belief in the importance of local news, and strong comms instincts.
