I pulled out my notebooks from 20 years ago where I kept my notes on the Jungian books I was reading, and found these illustrations I created to accompany my notes. The two lions are labeled as “yesterday and tomorrow” and accompany my notes from reading Marie-Louise von Franz’s book Time: Rhythm and Repose. The map of the constellations is among my notes from Jung’s book Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle, and is surrounded with this quote: ”The starry vault of heaven is in truth the open book of cosmic projection, in which are reflected the mythologems, i.e., the archetypes.” C.G. Jung.

I think I created illuminated manuscripts in another life. : )
