Another really easy way to help your favourite indie authors gain visibility in Goodreads is by tagging your reviews. Books that are tagged and saved to genre -specific bookshelves have more visibility.

I discovered this when looking for gothic horror releases. Goodreads had lists of new and upcoming books tagged with ‘gothic'.

This is similar to when people create genre-specific Pinterest boards and save genre-specific pins.

I need to do this myself, but when you leave a review, save the book to bookshelves relevant to the book’s genre(s). It really helps! You can make as many bookshelves as you like.
