Make money doing the work you believe in

3 specific journal exercises I love (tried and tested after filling up hundreds of journals)

  1. A very specific gratitude list: 2-3 things you’re grateful for that day. In general, I find gratitude lists to be vague and slightly unhelpful (anyone else?) but tying it to moments in my day helps me feel more present

  2. Journaling mid day or at night: while the artist’s way would beg to differ, certain emotions and thought patterns pile up as the day carries on. Taking 10 mins to write out and release emotions that pop up greatly helps versus the morning when you sometimes don’t have a ton to “empty out” and you’re just sleepy

  3. Journaling through a very specific emotion: this can be any emotion! Euphoria, anxiety, angst, calm. Catching an intense emotion and leaning into can provide more clarity than forcing yourself to constantly write through mild or “meh” emotions that haven’t formed yet.
