Aminus3 Photography has asked us to present our favourite frame from 2025. I was in Rome. One of my favourite cities. I was thinking of Eric J Lyman and his wonderful thoughts on living there, and I thought of what the essence of Rome is to me. This is my thinking: A building and a tiny cup of coffee. The fictional character, detective Aurelio Zen, speaks of not having had a proper espresso unless you do so in one go and burn the roof of your mouth in the process. There is truth to this statement.

The Pantheon is my favourite building in Rome, and perhaps anywhere, and coffee, well, the Roman bars make some the best, small, stand up, cups of coffee, pretty much anywhere.
