I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

Jon, I also recall a debate about the color of hyperlinks in the Help content for Word and Excel. Excel argued that green is the color of money, and Excel is all about the money. Word wanted blue because, umm, blue looked nicer? On those ridiculous points we went round and round for months.
I did the hyperlink implementation for Excel ‘97 (started after “code complete”). There were arguments about the hyperlink toolbar sizes and order and lots of other stuff. I just said I’m not arguing about this stuff - we’re matching Word (I felt that feature was more important for them). I even made it so the testers and localizers could control the sizes of the fields and the order of buttons on the toolbar to just match Word no matter the language (they kept tweaking them and I was tired of …
