People are using AI to write job applications. Hiring managers are using AI to screen them. And nobody’s getting hired.

In the past six months I've noticed a big rise in stories from people who are applying for a job (or want to) but feel demoralised by the indignity of traditional hiring.

There are so many brilliant people out there who can't find a way to make their brilliance legible to the right people, because the formal hiring process was built to manage volume and risk, not find the right person.

In thinking about all this, I realised that I've actually been very successful at creating my own way into job opportunities. And as I started helping my wife do the same with her job search recently, I realised it was something I could teach!

So, my new programme, Screw the Job Boards, is specifically designed to bypass traditional hiring by teaching people how to create a role for themselves strategically.

I'm looking for creative professionals to participate in the inaugural programme this April.
