Men — all you have to do to please your woman is “provide resources” and pretend to listen to her about her day!
Women — all you have to do is make yourself completely vulnerable to death by opening yourself physically and spiritually to someone who sees it as a transaction or extraction anyway, NBD!
These propositions are equal! Sex is like eating! Ladies, don’t “starve” him of your bodyor he will be grumpy, like a toddler!
Male entitlement and female withholding are directly downstream of evopsych assumptions, which treat sex like a casual commodity or Maslow-tier “need” with no spiritual dimension.
People wouldn’t deal with so much dysfunction if neither partner cheapened something so profoundly intimate by treating it as a bargaining chip or value-neutral vehicle for personal gain in this way. What if couples were to mutually recognize the act not as “evolutionary need” but…something higher? The gateway to life itself? He wouldn’t feel entitled and she wouldn’t feel haughty.
