I appear to be quite irritated and to be taking strong, uncompromising positions on things at the moment. I mean, I believe it all, but I generally aim to present it with a bit more nuance and diplomacy. Less “Fuck off, you moronic arseholes” and more “While I see a kernel of truth in what you are saying and the validity of some of your concerns, I must make a case for the value of caring about truth more consistently and leaving other people alone unless they are hurting you.” I just think assuming one’s fellow humans to be reasonable, sincere and well-intentioned works better than yelling at them and is more likely to make them respond as though they are. However, I am currently sleep-deprived and headachy, so my tone may have acquired an edge. I shall rest and reel it back in again.
