Show Recap: I’ve produced over 100 shows in VR in the past two years. Tonight’s Lia Live & The Bandidos show was in the Top 3. Their Latin Rock Reggae jam sounded absolutely incredible in the headset, the stage video synced perfectly, the incredible instrumental and vocal work blew me away. Kai plays a mean Carlos Santana guitar solo. Bassist Pato stepped in for percussionist Berto (pictured left) and the transition could not have been more soulful. Lia was on fire with her vocals, covering everything from Selena to Manu Chao and a few Latin/Hawaiian originals. The band had a great time bantering with the avatar crowd between songs (yes, this is all real time and fully interactive) and invited everyone to their upcoming “Cinco de Mayo” show in the Club Aloha app. True collective effervescence with fellow VR fans and artists. And I didn’t have to leave the house. What a cool job I have!
