If someone had told me back in 2017 "NLF, here's what's going to happen: the upper elites are going to institute a public test of blockchain for future central bank digital currencies, which will result in the greatest loss of freedom in human history, and they will do it via Tether - a flimsy 15 man operation from felons with fraud backgrounds, who will print tens of billions out of thin air in order to inflate the crypto market, and they will have a krisha of institutional protection from the CIA and NSA so they aren't shut down and immediately criminally prosecuted - and their end goal will be to offload this enormous scam onto the public, using public funds as a backstop" then of course I would have invested in it.

But everyone involved in this thing from the start has had a superficial, retarded perspective. They have always been utterly unable to answer basic questions (such as: why would governments allow non-governmental crypto to exist and compete with fiat? Couldn’t governments crash the price by shutting down fiat on- and off-ramps and criminalizing possession? Why wouldn’t they? How is one to ascertain value from an asset that generates no returns other than selling for more to the next sucker? What is the relationship between Tether and crypto prices? What is the background of the Tether team? Has Tether ever passed an audit?), they had no understanding of history or of the world at all. I’ve been decidedly unimpressed with each and every crypto hyper I've ever run across - and I know at least three that are in their 30s and are now worth $100 million+.

So from my perspective these abject, shallow, utter morons have fallen ass-backwards into immense wealth, beneficiaries of a long-term, giant scam that they have no knowledge of, while I stayed out of it because I thought something deeper was afoot. As the famous saying goes, "Man plans, God laughs" and these 100 IQ scammers are now driving around in Maseratis while I eat the equivalent of dog food.
