Make money doing the work you believe in

I never experienced Beauvoir's "metaphysical horror" at the thought of my own death. I've thought about it often my entire life, coming to a loose set of beliefs recently outlined in a Substack essay (heyscott.substack.com/p… ) At age 70, the prospect has a greater immediacy than it did in decades past, of course, although given some of my life's adventures it's somewhat astonishing to me that I've made it this far. You could call me a happy nihilist, pretty sure there's no personal identity left after death, but grateful to have been given the chance to spend a life here.
