while on assignment in Greece, i came across the teens gathered outside the island’s school gates on the first day back after summer break.

the boys smoking performatively on the steps of the town archeological museum*, the girls huddled together across the cobblestone square. some loners in between who seemed to just want to get it over with.

sometimes you come across a play unfolding in real life and you must sit down and watch!
